I think the 04 is currently my favourite drinking vintage that is affordable and has the capability of aging for another 10years. I definitely have and will continue to buy 04s.
2005 Château Puy-Blanquet 81 Points
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Purple. Slighlty floral, quite metallic with hints of overnight coffee. Very obvious cold steel minerality with unripe plums but showing decent strength of the vintage.

2004 Château Magdelaine 83 Points
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Garnet with almost browning on the edges. Lovely hawthorn cherries leaning to a little vegetative with a whiff of dainty sweetness. Elegant delivery of half-cooked, half-dried plums with cherry juice and some spice notes rounding off nicely at the finish.

2004 Château Gazin L'Hospitalet de Gazin 84 Points

Darker than the magdelaine but still showing tinges of browning age. Really beautiful bouquet of mushrooms, dark cherries with some ginseng root. Elegant dark cherries delivered in a velvety mouthfeel. Lovely stuff for NOW drinking.

2004 Château La Grave a Pomerol Trigant de Boisset 83 Points

Dark garnet with browning at the edges. Sharp focused beam of fruits composing blackberry and elegant raspberries. Good fruit weight with classy dark red berries with light sweetness. Good structure accompanying nicely ripened fruits.

2004 Château Latour à Pomerol 85 Points

Mushed up glob of cherries, berries, mushroom, indian shop smells and also get some vegetable compost. Dense masculine-type expression of dark fruits and some coffee. I though it was also violets-infused, slowly showing more bacon fat and slight spice heat.

2004 Château La Fleur-Pétrus 86 Points

Dark garnet. I found the nose rather closed with a streak of earthy undertones. However, the palate is luscious, a bit lingerie sexy with floral-infused dark fruits that is lightly stewed into a perfect pot of savory sweet berry consomme. I like the kick / caress that the wine has as it flows down the throat. Right now, only the nose is preventing a higher score. Most probably needs more time to slowly blossom.

Dense and almost opaque purple. Wow! Sexy alluring nose of dark berries and indian spices. Woo! The palate is big with a nail-varnish powered body of half dried ripe berries with oak nuances. Almost lacking some elegance. On the razor's edge.

2004 Château Trotanoy 85 Points

Nose is somewhat closed with some light soy notes. This is a powerful expression of noble elegance. Its like a powerful aristocrat that flexes its political muscle in an unabashed but still tasteful manner. Dark brooding fruits enhanced by a very firm structure of alcohol and powdery tannins. Probably the longest lasting of the lot tasted but not my favourite for drinking now.
