  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru

  Smell reminicent of port. Mature wine, lots of leather. Integrated acitidy and still potent tannins. Excellent.

• 1998 Maison Bertrand Ambroise Corton-Le Rognet

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru

  Varm, fiery smell with dark berries. Lots of tannins, young (!), round feel. Taste of dark berries, mushrooms and a hint of petroleum. Pretty tough, hard acidity.

• 2001 Domaine Tollot-Beaut Corton

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru

  "Transparent', light color. Nose with lots of berries - cherries, strawberries, lingonberries. Smooth, silky taste, firm but fine tannins, very berry-driven. Great length. Excellent wine - TB shows again that they are to count on almost regardless of AOC.

• 2002 Antonin Guyon Corton-Bressandes

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru

  Spicy smell with mint and a mix of provencal herbs - with a dominant rosemary component. Round, smooth taste, pretty tannic, overwhelming taste of rosemary. Balanced acidity.

• 2005 La Pousse d'Or Corton-Clos du Roi

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru

  Compact nose of dark berries. Good attack, good length. Slender, with a bit low acidity and a bit of sweetness (but in this rare case a positive sweetness).
