Gotta love Ramey. Completely in a different ball park than all the other wines at the event.
Ended up winning a bottle in the silent auction for only $34!
2005 Ramey Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard 92 Points

Definitely my WOTN. Couldn't believe they were pouring this at a lower key tasting.
Beautiful deep golden color. Notes of fresh herbs, apple, minerals and some nice honey notes.
Palate is lush and creamy. Medium to full bodied with excellent acidity. My conclusion thus far... I truly love Ramey wines.

Lots of leather and smoke on the nose. Nice firm palate. Solid effort. Decent QPR.

Very sweet. A little out of balance on the palate. Nose is enticing and fresh.

Light and refreshing yet still some nice creaminess on the palate.
A consistent effort across the board. Nothing too special going on, but a nice wine nonetheless.

Seductive aromas of petrol, roasted nuts, toffee and some baked pear.
Lovely on the palate. Flowing lush and viscous liquid with awesome acidity.
A little short on the finish, but a great dessert wine. J vineyards has a winner here.
