  Pablo's wine. Ave 91.5, received 9 of 16 1sts. Bob Hudson and Jerry McGinley both gave it 94's. Bob R - 90, soft & elegant. Carlos D-92, light color, fruity, big tannic. Craig vT-92, dust, earth, prune, anise. Deirdre C-90, perfume. Luis R-93, subtle, melting(?), extraordinarily true to form. Charlie - 89, nice nutty flavor, medicinal nose.

  Bob R's wine. Received 1 split 1st, Jerry-94, average 90. Many said it was the youngest of the flight(just barely). Bob R-88, harsh tannins. Pablo-90, youngest in the flight. Charlie-89, good nose, slightly bitter. Craig-90 perfume, tannic, older.Deidre-90, younger. Carlos-91, light color, tight, cherry.Deirdre-90, younger.

  David's wine. The consensus was it was corked. Craig-89, didn't care for the nose. Luis-86, green.Charlie, dry, bitter, slightly corked, great structure. Me(Mark)-80, VA, wood. Bob R-75, slighly corky nose, cardboard taste. Luis, corked, modernist with more ripe fruit.Carlos, deep color, explosive carboholic(?), vegetal.

  Deirdre's wine. 7-1/2 first of 16, ave. 91.2. Deirdre-90, lovely, more tannic. Craig-93, classic Barolo, that I enjoy. Charly-92, nice sweet fruit, refined tannins. Me(Mark)-91, good, best of non-competitive flight.Luis-92, modern, a hint of coffee in the nose.Carlos-92, Deep red color; barnyard, coffee nose; smoke, leather,pepper taste.

  Charlie's wine. 6-1/2 firsts of 16, ave 90.7. Widest range of scores, 6 rated it less than 90, i.e. wouldn't buy it at retail, wth Luis low@85 cola candied nose. Bob H high 94. Deidre-89, meaty sultry(orsulphur?). Me-89, cherry syrup. Pablo-87, sweet nose, totally different nose than all the others. Charlie-93 classic powerful herbs, spices, cherry fruit. Bob R-92 sweet nose. Carlos-92 cola color, cola madeira nose, short finish.

Carlos-94, saturated color, smoky nose, candy peper taste.Luis-89, shows more promise, closed and light at this stage.Craig-91 tannic.

  Bob Muraro's wine. Served separately, so I will repeat my comments from 1/4/2008 at Quattro w Bob & Delia. Remarkably vibrant for a 44 year old wine, with some life left. Almost light beaujolais in color. Wine morphed throughout the hour of consumption. Initially some varnish(VA?) on the nose, then later evidence of brett. Tantalizing nuances and complexity, which continued to evolve. Very good, but not ethereal as Gallioni implies.

  Bob Muraro's Nectar of the GOD's. An extraordinary finish to our Barolo/Gaja Barbaresco dinner. Sweet, intense, port like without being cloying. IMHO WOTN.
