Introduction
all of the Binnys were pouring what they had of the 08 BNs, so curiosity got the better of me and I decided to taste through the line up. Normally it's like staring at car wrecks on the highway, you don't want to look but you still do.

Actually, these weren't bad, in fact, all of them were drinkable with the mommessin actually being a decent wine. They are what they are, but on the whole they weren't off putting. I still wouldn't buy them as I don't really want to drink them, but they aren't neccessarily bad wines to have around the house for party type wines over the next two months

nose: pretty good aromatics with light tones of strawberries and various candied fruit scents. While light, there is a good balance to them with even something resembling depth. This is actually a pretty good nose
taste: nice and easy with a bit of structure giving off various fruitty tones with a good helping of strawberries
overall: this is actually a pretty decent beaujolais nouveau. I'm actually shocked as its very easy to drink, and is actually pleasant too. Obviously not really good or anything like that, but its actually decent and not bad to drink. There's even a bit of tannin and acidity too

2008 Château Cambon Beaujolais Nouveau 78 Points

nose: nice light aromas of strawberries, chalk, and bits of sweet cherries along with bits of bush fruits and some bubblegum tones. A bit more complexity then I was expecting, and fairly nice
taste: a good amount of bubblegum with a bit of strawberry. Simple, but very easy drinking
overall: An average wine, but very drinkable and decent. There are some nice aromatics and very easy drinking and forward on the palate. A quaffer and a decent wine to have around the house for guests during the holiday season

2008 Georges Dubœuf Beaujolais Nouveau 77 Points

nose: the bannanas finally rear their head with this, but its not overpowering. Light tones of cherries and raspberries behind them with bits of minerals and chalk. Fairly good aromatics that actually bring something resembling complexity
taste: very light and little in the way of defining flavors. There isn't the nice light fruit tones on the nose, there is some cherries and raspberries with a bit of red fruits too, but they aren't really working like they were on the nose
overall: Fairly dry too, a major surprise as this is usually one of the more lighter BNs. Not bad, but certainly not amazing, it is what it is and it works alright. Not overly impressive, but solid and delivers what one would expect

nose: very light nose of bubblegum and bits of strawberries
taste: no real flavors on the palate and very light weight
overall: Very light aromatics and nothing really going on the palate, but there are tannins, wtf? drinkable, but nothing much else

nose: light candied nose with some bubblegum, strawberries, and some light cherry tones
taste: easy and straightforward with some light strawberry and bits of cherries
overall: decent and drinkable. Flavors are light and there is little depth, but its easy drinking and fruity

2008 Domaine Dupeuble Pere et Fils Beaujolais Nouveau 73 Points

nose: decent and light nose of strawberries, raspberries, and some bits of cherries. Very light, not extremely aromatic, but with some balance
taste: some rotted fruit hits right off with some strawberry tones behind. Decent, but the rotted fruit just ruins it
overall: not bad, not nearly as awful as last year's was. The rotted fruit on the palate was what killed this wine. Very simple and surface with a bit of surprising tannins
