Roys

A subset of the STG got together for the August tasting at Roy's. The food was amazing and a perfect match for the evenings wines.
Roy started us off with a wonderful Poke Tuna... Amazing
Next came, some great scalops with a mango chutney.
Roy then treated us to a big seafood salad with ingredients fresh from the local farmers marked/seafood marked...
Finally desert, a wonderful blueberry/blackberry shortcake...I almost licked my plate clean. Roy also served a white port with this that did not get the greatest responses so I only smelled it and took no other notes.
Thanks to Roy, and all for a great evening.
NV Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée 94 Points
France, Champagne
Ahh Krug, typical, nutty, yeasty, buttered toast. This bottle showed a bit more acidity than I remember. Always a great wine.
