First of all i must say that Amsterdam was great...BUT...Delft was truly a special moment.... what a beautifull city and so cozy and just pure heaven to walk those quiet little streets....just the best... :)
we arrived on saturday and on sunday we had been gratiously invited to Rotterdam by Cameron to share some food and some wine (of which he trully brought the lions share :)
Cameron - i need help with remmebering the food :) though
we met at the station and walked to a little hidden restaurant that one would never notice if not told of previously...but what a meal it was. Inventive but at the same time with classical touches and spices. There were 6 of us on that summer night...6 happy diners from diferent parts of the world and of netherlands :)
starters
Steamed dumplings to start - sharks fin, prawns with chive, and pork.
Then it was Sea Bass with caramalized garlic and greens.
Next came the Beggers Chicken - chicken baked in the oven in lotus leave and flavoured with finely chopped ginger and bamboo shoots.
Main course was lamb in a pepper and truffel sauce, with courgette.
Desert was some sort of fuit + ice cream ? :)
Thanks again to Cameron for the wines and the organiing and for introducing us to such great people :)
