Good stuff has come out of this winery, but I was somewhat dissapointed by this bottle.
Purple in color. Moderate legs. Moderate color extraction.
Nose of fruit. Black plum, casis. Clove, cocoa and leather. Light floral hints. Little mineral with toasty spices. Nothing too overwhelming or singly characteristic of the vineyard.
Medium body on the palate; lighter than the Mondavi and Newton. Moderate acid, alcohol and ripe tannins.
Big Napa Cab here! Dense ruby color turning to deep ruby on the edge.
Nose full of minerals. More than the berry boquet. Amaretto, chocolate. Also sensing a leafy damp earth smell. Sweet spice with hints of oak, though not overpowering.
Palate shows a medium to full body with higher acidity levels. Valley fruit put on a pedestal.
WOTN beating out the Nickel & Nickel Vogt Vineyard.
Totally a different profile than the other seven wines tasted this afternoon.
Deep purple in color. Brown hues near the rim showing slight age. Nose is totally GREEN! Slight hints of cherry, but I can't get over the sage, green pepper and mint! Leather too.
Medium body, low tannins. Moderate acidity with a higher level of alcohol. Extremely balanced. Wow, if only I could afford a bottle all for myself...

After hints of herbs from the cooler climate @ Newton winery in Yountville.
Mint, bell pepper.
Full body in the palate with flavors of tobacco.
High in tannins and acidity, yet still balanced.
Medium - Long finish.
Better than the Mondavi Napa Cab head to head.
