Introduction
I wish the Corkscrew would have tastings more often. It's great to meet the producers, the wines are usually more to my taste than the average wine that CoolVines pops, the glasses are very nice, and the atmosphere is formal - how I like it. The only downside is that it's really damn cold - sometimes it's hard to smell anything. Advice: Wear a jacket to all Corkscrew tastings.

It was lovely talking with Francois about his favorite wines - Vieux Chateau Certan among them. These wines while not bad, didn't really excite me.
2006 Château Les Charmes-Godard Blanc 70 Points
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Francs Côtes de Bordeaux
Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc blend.
Bitter, hot, nutty, and dry with very little fruit. I just don't get this wine.

2005 Château Manoir du Gravoux 82 Points

Earth, cherries, pyrazines on the nose.
In the mouth, med- acid, med tannins, a bit overripe flavors, dark fruit. 80-84

Nose: good black cherry, light cassis, hint of tobacco.
Palate: med body, med alcohol, med acid, med tannins.
