Oh, there's some rubber here, but it's a good rubber. Big, rich, and tasty. This may not make sense, but there's some great rubbery fruit here. And yes, there's a fair bit of oak, but it works. Tasty stuff. I'll take this over 95% of Cali Cabs under $30. 89-90
This was being decanted as I walked over, and I wish I had of tried it after more air. It's big, and richer then I remember previous bottlings. Not as complex as I remember, but quite nice. The escalating price makes this a bit of a reach now, no thanks to a certain exuberant reviewer.
2/21/09: Beautiful nose, full of citrus fruits. Very nice on the palate as well. Not frizzante. Light+ bodied, as it is a little bigger then expected. The acidity, while refreshing, is not quite as lip stinging as expected either. Tasty stuff.
