Introduction
10 Duckhorn wines for $30. The Duckhorn winemaker was supposed to be here for 4 hours but showed up over 30 mins. late and left early as well. Hi Time stated they were going to taste the whole line of current Duckhorn wines that they sell, but left off the Three Palms Merlot- I was looking foward the most to the Three Palms- as I have never tried this wine.

Overall this was a good tasting and was more impressed with the Pinots! And at $3 dollars a taste this was pretty good.

Not a white drinker, but this was good SB- good amount of acid and grapefruit.

This is my style of Pinot- a little hotter and more black and blue fruit. This is definitely a more new world style pinot- almost Syrah like. The alc was a lot more present in this wine.

2006 Goldeneye Pinot Noir Ten Degrees 92 Points

$100 CA Pinot- this is a blend of Goldeneye's ten best barrels of Pinot blended together. This was a very good big CA Pinot- I almost pulled the trigger on this wine, they only had 3 bottles left during the tasting. Definitely would have pulled the trigger if this was in the $70 range. This is some good juice!

Wow- I'm scoring this completely different from everyone else. Six other people agreed with me on this one at the tasting (2 different bottles too). Very dust and tannic. Very muddled and not complete wine and way overpriced at $75.

I liked this Cab a lot- a definite more drink now Cab. I almost pulled the trigger on this one as well. The difference between the "Estate" and this one is that the "Estate" will go the distant IMHO and this is drink now-5 years.

This was a good Cab but needs a lot of time to mellow out the tannins- a little dusty. This is definiely no where close to being ready to drink- needs at least 3-5 years to even start to be ready.

A very light blend- for a Zin blend wine. Was kinda of disappointed- I was expecting a big bold wine. This is not a bad wine, just not what I expected. This would be a very good food wine.
