Charlotteville Wine Guild Ridge Charity Tasting

Paul Summers, one of our inaugural Wine Guild members, has a rather interesting vertical of Ridge Vineyards wines that he is going to make available for Guild members to taste to benefit the Alex Summers Fund a Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. All of the proceeds from this event will go directly to the fund to raise money to setup a pediatric hospice program in Alex's memory. The fund also supports the Thomas Jefferson Food Bank & The Free Clinic.

We will be tasting:
Ridge Lytton Springs: 1993, 94, 95 & 96
Ridge Geyserville: 1991, 92 & 93
Ridge Pagani Ranch: 1992, 94 & 95

Keep in mind that these are older Zins and may be more informative than hedonistic. That being said, the Wine Guild will also be donating a couple of current vintage Ridge bottlings for comparison. Revolutionary Soup will be providing food and Verity Blue has agreed to find some live acoustic music for this event. It should be a lot of fun.

This is going to be a great education on top California Zins from one of California's top Zinfandel producers.

We will include more details as we get closer to the event. We are asking $20 per person which will go directly to the Alex Summers Fund. There will also be an opportunity to contribute more on the evening of the event if you like.
