Introduction

We visited this winery on our Tuscan wine tour. They grow four varietals - Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah and make six wines from these varietals. This property became a wine-producing estate in 1985. It was formerly an olive and other produce farm. As of 9/20/05 they had started harvesting the grapes, stopped for a couple of days due to rain and cold and were hoping to commence again the day after we visited. The grapes looked beautiful and ready to be harvested with little visible mold in sight.

Closing

Quite nice wines from this estate. The 1999 Brunello Riserva just scored Tre Bichieri from the Gambero Rosso and a 94 from the Wine Spectator.
