Introduction

We started off with homemade pizza and champagne - moved on to a dinner of 7 hour lamb, creamed onions, broccollini, and mashed potatoes and we had three Bordeaux glasses of red wine - we were not told anything about them - two were lighter and the third was very dark

Flight 2 - Three wines served blind in Riedel Bordeaux glasses

Only one of the wines had a big nose - and when tasted it - it seemed different than the nose would suggest - one wine was very lush with great body and the other was very nice and had lots of complexity - Turns out the wine with big nose was Chateau Latour 2001, the very lush wine was Caymus Special Selection 2001 and the wine that had lots of complexity was Hedges Red Mountain Reserve

Closing

Everyone enjoyed the wines and had to assign ratings to them and then we were told that one was from Washington State, one from France and one from California - we were then asked to identify which location - I got one location right California and several got all three right.
