Pale yellow color. Nose of tropical fruit and caramel with a smoky oak component. Apples, hazelnut and pear fruit profile. Strong minerality. Nice depth and length on the finish. Solid non-vintage Champagne.
Yellow color. Nutty nose. Apple, flint and pear. Excellent balance with crisp acidity. Layered mid palate but a bit closed on the finish. No where near the top of its game tonight.
Golden yellow color. Floral, tropical fruit nose. Pear, pineapple and limestone. Bright fruit in the mid palate. Good balance. Soft, fruit forward finish.
Ruby color. Smells of raspberries. Tastes of cherry and blackberry with intense earthiness and overwhelming charred oak. Medium to full bodied. Good balance and acidity. Soft finish without much depth or complexity. Good but not great.
Ruby color. Bing cherry aromatics. Tastes of blackberry, earth, caramel and cranberry. Very well balanced. Nice depth of fruit in the mid palate. Long complex finish. Bottle # 5283.
Dark ruby color. Black fruit on the nose. Black cherry, violet and raspberry fruit. Firm tannins. Well balanced. Rich with excellent depth and length. Quite nice.
Ruby red color. Black cherry aromatics. Blackberry, plumb and cherry. Excellent depth in the mid palate with numerous layers of pretty fruit. Full bodied. Excellent balance. Polished tannins. A Knockout finish that is quite powerful yet at the same time quite elegant and complex. This wine was hitting on all cylinders tonight. My personal WOTN.
Dark purple color. Red berry fruit on the nose with a bit of volatile acidity. Tastes of black cherry, charred oak, current, mocha and violet. Still quite tannic. Nice core of fruit. Rich, powerful finish. Quite young tasting.
Better than the first bottle. Dominant brett on the nose and palate. Tastes of blackberry, earth and charred oak. Firm tannins. Good acidity. Possessing some tartness on the finish. Still not a fan.
