deep resinous fruit nose. blackberry and a whiff of matchlight charcoal on a weber grill. charcoal and rain water!!! Medium+ acidity. still holding on to considerable tannin, but accessible now. hints of violet and then a lingering hazelnut on the finish.
the 'freshest' fruit expression i have come across in quite some time. quite wonderful. fresh fruit perched on an end table in front of a meadow. that's what i'm drinking. great balance. medium plus acidity. this is the balls.

2006 Tamarack Cellars Cabernet Franc

Light coffee notes with lots of cedary wood influence. hint of vanillin. i will am not thrilled with this treatment of cabernet franc.
