    An undeniably interesting nose - sandwich meat and oreo cookie. Medium sweetness. Very interesting. A second bottle was completely different, with a charred tuna nose.

    Earthy nose, dusty, chocolate cake. Very smooth! Leather bomb, with very light tannin. Complex, black fruit. Perfect age. Delicious. $40ish

    Beefy, manly nose, with a hint of strawberry. Very interesting! Very smooth light tannins, medium acid, medium+ body. Juicy. Peppery and spicy. Delicious. $65

    Tomato sauce bomb on the nose, with some pencil lead. Palate: jammy, but cut with some nice acidity. Medium tannin, big body. Red fruit. Complex for a shiraz, but was outclassed tonight.

    Earthy meaty plum black cherry nose, interesting. Massive palate, complex, red fruit, light leather, long. Massive, but balanced. My palate was getting a little shot by this point, but this is a wine to study. It's come along since I last tried it, but this one still needs some time to find its place. $80
