84 Dominus, 92 Mondavi, 82 St. Pierre, 88 Lafarie Peyreguay

Got together for a night of nice wines. Missed the name of one merlot.

92 Mondavi tightly wound at first, this wine got more interesting as it recieved decanter time. Some nice iron nad cassis notes. Still fairly structured on the palate, not as balanced as the beautiful 90 we had earlier this year. 91 pts

84 Dominus. Good color, a bunch of sediment in this one. Notes of dried cherries, menthol, and graphite and some black fruit presence. Thought this might be drying out just a touch 91 pts.
82 St. Pierre Wow what a surprise this was. Also alot of sediment, lightening on the rim. Notes of cassis, licorice, and burnt forest floor, really nice aromatics reminicent of the 82 Gruaud we had earlier in the year. Liquid velvet on the palate with totally resolved tannins. In fact, very close in quality to the 82 Gruaud Larose 94 pts.
88 LP, very tightly wound at first, with hazelnut, apricot, tangerine peel, it unfolded as the night wound down 91 pts
