Aromas of berries, lemon Pledge wax, grapefruit, honey, and spice. Almost smells like mead! A giant WTF after the sweet-smelling nose, as the wine is bone dry on the palate. Medium-bodied, with notes of ginger, grapefruit pith, capsicum through to the moderate-long finish. Very interesting, and very unique. Can't say I've ever had a wine quite like this before.

Not decanted. Dark garnet colour. Aromas of caramel, chocolate covered cherries, and just a hint of VA that blows off with air. Full-bodied, good acidity, with cherry, cocoa, sottobosco, and orange rind notes on the palate. Moderate finish, ~35s, with cherry, earth, and orange rind. Odd that this wine showed so much chocolate and no strawberry notes which is pretty characteristic of Fuligni's Brunello.

Dark ruby colour. A little muted on the nose initially, but shows hints of sottobosco, dried dark fruit, and celery salt. Medium-full bodied, with pencil lead and more dark fruit. Great acidity and structure. Moderate-long finish ~35-40s, with pencil lead, currant, and earth. This still needs additional cellaring, and it's just showing hints of what it will be. Try again in 2011.
Ruddy red/burgundy colour. Gorgeous nose of plum, cherry, currant, and hints of olive brine/black olive tapenade. Full-bodied, great balance, with nice acidity and in-check tannins. Chocolate, mineral, cherry, plum, and prune notes on the palate. Fantastic length. Drink now-2013+.
Garnet colour with some orange/bricking to the rim. Gorgeous aromas of tea, brown sugar, orange rind, truffle, sottobosco, tar, leather, and even a touch of coffee with air. Medium-full bodied, great acidity to act as a foil against the food. Tea, leather, and currant notes on the palate. Long finish, ~40s, with tar, earth, orange rind notes. Beautiful stuff and drinking really nicely.
Opaque ruby/purple colour. Aromas of vanilla, berry fruit, plums, and a bit of stemminess that blows off with air. Full-bodied, unctuous, with replays from nose. Even though there is plenty of fruit in this wine, it's kept in check with great acidity. Long finish, ~40s. Consistently great stuff. I'd like to see where this goes with cellaring, but it's tough to keep the mitts off!

Copper colour. Amazing aromas of peach nectar, apricot, honey, botrytis, Meyer lemon rind, and vanilla. Full-bodied, so unctuous, but balanced off fantastic acidity. Replays from the nose come through to the palate. Tea and caramel notes are present on the ridiculously long ~50-60s finish. The texture is amazing in this bottle.
