Rich cabernet nose, with a real warmth about the aromas. Nicely ripe, it stops short of raisiny. Good persistence of flavours. Still quite primary, but much development left in front of it.
{cork, 14%} A rich, meaty, tarry nose. Squarely in the mainstream of Penfolds house style. Powerful palate, slow development. Still very young. Rich balanced fruit predominate on the mid-palate. Good length of finish. Leave in the cellar!

The aromas still display plenty of ripe rich red fruit, but there’s an odd metallic note there as well. The palate offers some blueberry fruit, softly developed oaky tannins, respectable palate weight and a moderate length finish.

{cork, 14%} Plenty of warm spicy shiraz fruit on the nose, with some leathery touches as well. On the palate its far too hot, and rather oaky as well. There is some sweet fruit, but I wouldn’t call it classic Hunter by any means. Think this wine will gradually become more disjointed as it ages.
