Mostly oak at this stage.
Elegant and balanced. Lots of fruit and spice. Silky tannins and an extremely long finish. Classic.
Deep purple. Exotic cigar nose. Mushrooms and tobacco on the silky smooth palate. Tannins become grittier with air.
Tinge of brown. Perfumed nose of figs and dried fruit. Sweet on the attack with round tannins. Medium length.
Liquorice and leather on the nose. More expressive on the palate than the nose with layers of dried fruit and minerals. Fresh and spicy with higher acidity than the 1989. Very pleasant.
Murky brown. Salty iodine nose with soy sauce and raisins. Fresh with fine tannins.
Nose of prunes and figs. Umami on the palate. Very fresh and tasty. Delicious.
