Introduction
A cosy dinner among new found friends, this was supposed to be an evening of modest 1982s. So when a mystery wine appeared in a decanter, we quickly assumed that it could not be of any other vintage. And boy, were we in for a surprise. Thanks Chef!

Classic Barolo nose. Lightweight on the palate. Dried fruit and round tannins. So youthful for its age.

1982 Château Duhart-Milon
France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
Beautiful nose with somewhat a touch more oak than expected and almost sweet. A creamy wine with fresh fruit and minerals on the finish. Atypical Pauillac.

1957 Château Lafite Rothschild
France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
Compliments of the chef and served blind in a decanter. Pencil lead nose. Very very smooth tannins. Still very fresh, this got everyone wrong on the vintage. Long finish of dark cherries. Sadly, the Duhart was forgotten after this.

Candied fruit, candy floss, hard candy. Not my favourite style of Pinot.
