Rants and Ravings
- despite tasting only v randomly, I do not get the fuss about Alsace. Yeah, it's a cool wine region, yeah it's a wine geek favorite, yeah there is a lot of bang for the buck. But for Riesling I turn to Germany or Austria and then I am left with Traminer/Pinot Blanc or Gris. Could you be happy leaving out those 3 grapes from your wine cellar/tastings? IMHO, yes but maybe I am plainly wrong
- it's 2009, please take a stance. Either you go for the skin/orange/oxidized or you turn to purity. Riffault style is neither. I am boring so I will stick to Cotat & The Usual Suspects
- Foillard manages to get me excited all the time. Thanks God, it's out there in mags for when the Buddies are home on Friday.
