i was somewhat disappointed with the simplicity of this rose. the most prominent note was wild strawberries. There was a little bit of green character in it and the palate was somewhat muted. Still, a refreshing drink, if a bit overpriced.

Really nice showing for this wine from an "off" vintage. Mushroom notes were most prominent and picked up by all. A good amount of fruit, both red and black carries this through the midpalate, with other notes such as tar, earthiness, and an herbal character also there. A touch of heat on the midpalate was surprising. Finish is pleasant.
I really enjoyed this. loads of coffee and chocolate things kept coming to mind -- choc covered espresso beans... espresso jelly belly... dipping tongue in hersheys cocoa powder... really evoked those sorts of flavor memories. There was also some dark black fruit (plum, blackberry liqueur). Finer tannins that I recall tasting before, which led to the drying powder sensation on the tongue. Nice finish. I really enjoyed this.
a step back from the last bottle I had, this was more restrained than I remember. There is a lot of sweetness here, and enough acid to balance it out, which is so key to how I perceive Sauteres. Citrus, tropical fruit, marmalade on the palate which was thinner than I remember the last bottle being. Long finish. Wonderful wine!
viscous elixir that completely coats your mouth -- ridiculously sweet, this is perfectly balanced with plenty of acidity. Honey, peach, candied mango. The finish goes forever -- the only way to stop it is to take another tiny sip. Phenomenal.

Nose had prominent caramel and butterscotch notes. Palate showed some black fruit, plum. Not much fruit left in this bottle. Past its prime.
