    Unlike the 04, this is like a totally differrent beast with lots of fruits on the fore and even some floral notes. Still get hints of the old earth and dusty tannins but at the moment, this is drinking really well with rounded cherries .

    Expressive of the earthy , rootyness and dustyness of its terroir , I could hardly fish out a single cherry or berry. Quite tough to drink at the moment. Probably will be better in time but extremely dry but there is depth in the wine.

    Unfortunately, the bottle had been opened for a few days (I thought a week though) and kept alive by use of nitrogen stopper. The nose was totally reductive with lots of caramelised dark soy sauce notes. Palate-wise, still holding up but on the brink of being oxidised. Very dark cherries and almost soy-sauce soaked prunes, hints of earth .

    Very closed up , hard and tough wine. Very wild and backwardish, almost austere brambly red fruits. Didnt get any of the beautiful chambolle flowers though.

    Dried spices and herbs with garrigue and some hot stones on a bed of black fruits . Elegantly styled with the spicy robustness of the syrah grape still showing well. Excellent wine at such value. I really was caught off guard by this. Very agreeable.

    Blackcurrants with italian dried herbs. Very good fruit weight with just the right balance of style and elegance. Quite juicy and agreeable. Great value too.

    As expected from the 03 vintage, quite strongly fruited with soft tannins and at this point in time, this is quite good drinking. I would say the black cherries are cooler in style and with almost minty coolness. Quite firm a wine. Nice value.
