Flight 4 (3 Notes)

Flight 5 (4 Notes)

  • 2003 Château Pavie 97 Points

France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Concentrated, red with hints of brick color.
Complex, compact, deep smell with blackcurrant, cherry, tobacco, cedar and some dried fruit. Also, actually, hints of port. (Hints, I said...)
Very, very concentrated taste. Huge. Smooth tannins but gazillions of them. This wine is definitely on the border of being too much... But what a wine!

  • 2005 Château Pavie 100 Points

France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

    Concentrated, opaque red color.
Complex, harmonious smell with blackberry, cherries, cedar.
Fine, smooth, embedded tannins - but brutal in their intensity. Enormous power yet very very elegant and amazing balance. Generous and open with 60+ seconds length. Incredible.

  • 2000 Château Pavie 100 Points

France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Red to brick red, dense color.
Amazingly balanced nose of bordeaux fruit, maturity and some vanilla. Possibly a hint of TCA, but taste revealed no deficiency at all.
Round, balanced taste with beginning maturity. Incredibly long, 120+ taste. This is a mindbogglingly good wine.
