Extremely clean fresh and racy styled burg chard with steely minerality and razor acidity but being young, this is a forgivable trait. With time, it gained some baby weight with riper lemon fruits, green apples and white musk.
Violet with sedimentation , probably unfiltered. Raw leather hide atop wild berries with a dollop of raw beef juice . It slowly evolved to reveal more chocolate factory fumes like baked khong guan chocolate cookies. Has sweeter ripe cherry fruits than the other barolo tasted and felt like a hot vintage with heavier tannins and fruit extraction.A bit unsettled and keeps opening and shutting away its flavours like an awkward young teen about to break out into the world. Has good mid weight filling.
Leathery and touch of spices and ash with more elegant fruit expression than the other Barolo tasted in the same flight. Displays class of nobility without shouting into the mike. Supple cherries and silky mouthfeel just a slice away from being thin. No underweight yet but a skinny model she or he is...Really quite well made given the vintage. Readily drinking now.

Tasting this again after 2 weeks and the flavours have collected and matured with less alc and more together with its rendition of melon symphony! In fact, I get some caramelization characteristics now. This is just damn delicious drinking stuff! I wished I had more...note to make: I HAVE to buy this when I am back there.

Black sweet raspberries on the onset that became increasingly minty. On the last evolution, this reminded me of peppermint christmas candy cane. Dark fruited with some choc notes and very agreeable. Unabashedly aussie but a good one. Delicious with the slightly sweet beef rib rack.
Unexpectedly tight and closed up even after decanting for an hour. Faint whiffs of stony minerality and understated berry fruits. Hard tannins. Sillky texture. Feels that it has something to show but still yet to be ready. Probably will retaste next time before judging.
Retasted after one day . Wow! Nose is totally evolved with very mystical middle eastern exotic incense with exotic floral scents , very focused and hypnotic aroma. Dark bitter chocolate covered black cherries with weighty and teeth coating tannins. This is just showing its best and shows a lot of ageing potential though not going to be a great wine, this will be a good one. Towards the end, i got very nice top grade kenyan grade A coffee beans. I love the nose.
