I'm surprised this was at the tasting, as I imagine it's pretty easy to sell. Beautiful grenache nose. Raspberry liquor, herbs, very rich and hedonistic. This is so good. I'd have a tough time laying off of any of these. 90-92

11/13/09: This wine was showing very odd today. Had a sour tart thing going on at the finish. Tried twice, and while the 2nd bottle was not as bad, it was still there. Not sure what to make of this. Did have a nice mouth feel, but not really that close to the quality of the bottle I tried in Boston... 85-87
10/14/09: I was pretty enamored with this wine. Hedonistic. Raspberry liquor. Some garrigue, herbs. Killer stuff. This might be one of those '07 buy by the case wines that the critics are all talking about. 88-89

12/11/09: Round and smooth, with a nice savory characteristic to it. A little bit of toasty spice. Also, the acidity gives this a juiciness, as well. Very nice wine. 87-88

10/29/08: Port like nose. As in, if tasted blind, I would have guessed port. Too overipe for me to enjoy. It gets better on the palate, but this is a pass for me.

11/13/09: Pretty nose, with bright citrus fruits. The palate is like biting into a granny smith apple. So cleansing. There is a lemon tinge there as well.
10/14/09: Beautiful nose. Granny smith apples all the way. Zippy, oh it's zippy. Screaming acidity. Very fresh. How fun is this for under $10? 86-87

This really works, with both the grapes contributing in a positive way to the blend. A little richness and softness from the chard, and bright fruit and liveliness from the SB. Nice.
