    Best rose I've ever had, I was amazed by this wine. Rich strawberry. Incredible.

  • 2007 The Other Guys Pinot Noir Moobuzz 88 Points

    This is my go-to Pinot when I want a bottle to enjoy so I drink this often, at least once a month. Sadly, Pinot, being what it is, isn’t cheap to grow and produce, and this is good as ‘cheap’ Pinot (a misnomer) gets. There was lots of cinnamon and spice in this bottle. Easy drinking. Easy to like.

  • 2008 Dain Wines Pinot Noir Savage Juliet 91 Points

    USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley

    Spice, clove, cranberry on the nose. Very smooth but also PRIMARY in the mouth. Tannic. Young. Aptly named Savage int this instance. Super potential, but this needs time. I didn’t wait on the 07 Savage, I’m nearly though them, and I disagree with David on this point (he says wait, I say why?? J) but this 08 needs time. 1-2 years at least. Maybe 3-4 to evolve and integrate. Cellar time is essential.

    Spice, cinnamon, clove, and berries. Lots of cola berries as to be expected from a RRV Pinot. Super fruit and potential. Needs about a year.

  • 2008 Dain Wines Pinot Noir Anticipation La Encantada Vineyard 93 Points

    Intensely floral and aromatic, the rich aromas exploded from the glass. Lots of berries and currants on the palate. Dense and compelling complexity. Hard to describe, easy to appreciate. Again, I can only imagine this in 3-4 years. I doubt mine will last.

  • 2008 Dain Wines Pinot Noir Dandy Brosseau Vineyard 92 Points

    USA, California, Central Coast, Chalone

    Amazing aromatics from this wine, with dark berry, currants, spice, Christmas and baking spice. Very complex for such a young wine. Beautiful spicy tartness in the mouth, with good balance. A spice lovers dream wine!

  • 2008 Dain Wines Pinot Noir Rebel Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard 92 Points

    Incredible aromatics, with lots of SMV spices. The palate is the most cherry driven of the 2008 Dain’s, with an incredible DEPTH of flavor. Intense and expressive, this is going to be incredible in 3-4 years.

  • 2008 Dain Wines Pinot Noir La Belle Petite Gap's Crown Split Rock 92 Points

    A huge berry nose, with a slightly off-putting high alcohol nose. Lots of spice intermingled with the brooding fruit. This needs time to soften, about a year. This is going to be a blockbuster. A great debut!

    The nose had wild berry, but it was muted. Very restrained, almost pedestrian, on the palate. Lacking depth and much flavor. Smooth and easy-drinking. Solid.
