Introduction
Nice event in 20 Italian towns. This was in Faenza and our Host was Davide Staffa, one of the best Italian Sommelier in the world. Vintage were just released and need more ageing. Notes in tasting order, refer strictly to the tasted bottle.

Closing
The first 3 were more “traditional”, tannic, with moderate use of new barriques. The last 3 more “modern” = wooden (especially Madonna Alta, very soft, but mainly for the wood). I like more the traditional way!!. Without special notes the last one, negative # 3.

Intense dark ruby red, garnet rim; consistent. Medium intense smell, complex and fine. Red fruits: dried plum, dried flowers; spicy (cardamomo?). Dry, medium rounded; good acidity, tannic and mineral. Intense, persistent and fine. Medium balance. Very tannic and lacking of grace. Weak nose. LM 83

Nice full dark ruby red, with purple rim. Very nice bouquet of mature fruit: dried plum!! A bit of sweet spices. Fruity and liquorice at taste.

Dark ruby red, with garnet/orange rim, mature. A bit closed at nose (SO2?). Low acidity, tannins still young, mineral. Medium equilibrium and medium armonic. Colour is mature, not at taste.

Nice ruby red. Nice rich younger bouquet, with red fruits : raspberry, redberry, some plum with alcohol; red flowers, dust, a bit of sweet spices. Good acidity, tannins more mature. Intense, persistent and fine. Good body, good balance-.LM 90; AiS: 85/90

VERY nice ruby red; consistent. Intense, complex and fine smell: red fruits, sweet spices (vanilla), sweet tobacco. Dry, alcoholic and med. Rounded, with softening tannins; fruity. Persistent good body, armonic and well balanced. LM 84; AiS 85/90
