Sotheby's Pre Sale Tasting

This was the first time I attended a pre sale tasting -- it said 6-7pm on the sheet, but I did not realize there was a hard stop at 7pm and they started pulling bottles off the table, which makes little sense to me...you can't do much with thirty half opened bottles unless the Sotheby's employees plan on taking them home and drinking them...so I only got through the white and red burgs and bordeaux fully, then had the hungarian and one of the chateauneuf du papes...missed the italians, australians and dessert wines completely...so I know for next time.

  Heavy pineapple smell. Very fruity upfront with a smooth, sweet finish.

Wish they had more than just three...

Overall, would recommend these types of tastings, get to try a lot of wine and it isn't badly priced...
