Very acidic and sharp at first. Toned down with time and revealed buttery creaminess with someminerals. Very sharp and fresh with almost cutting acidity of grapefruits and lemons.
Dusty peice of old furniture with just a touch of wet cardboard that blew off with time. Quite strucutred but in a soft way. Sappy cherry fruits with austeres oldness that gave way to sappy violet florals and rouge lipstick. Didnt like it very much at first but subsequently calmed down and was more approachable.
Deeper nose with richer and riper fruits. Slightly vanillin oak, a bit of milo chocolate texturals. Has iniitial inkish purple fruits with powdery tannins. With tijme more peppers and robustly cabernet fruit showed. Really suprising for the vintage. Excellent drinking for now.
Darkish purple till black but still not opaque. Excellent legs. This is really viscous at sight. long and clinging legs. Dark brooding wine. This is like a sexy dark skinned lady with slightly muscular body in a tight fitting but not yet revealing red dress. On the palate though, this is considerably more restrained than on the nose. Big parker wine but also partially classical. An in betweener. Probably needs more time and does already have pauillac like weight and nuance. 83-84ts.
On the nose, this comes across as textbook pauillac with leather meaty and spome green peppers. Dark and brooding with considerable but aged coffee oak. This is also beautfully aged for drinking . Though never going to be a top tier 1st growth standard, this is very good textbook quality that one can pay and expect for. A bit smooth and plush on the palate with juicy plum softness but all contained in a nice structure.84 plus.

A bit of a rare oddity. This is aussie old world at its best with italian "modern" wine techniques. This at first was tell tale eucalytus lifted dark sweetish fruits but with time in the bottle, this gained weight and showed more restrained but prunish plummish fruits with blueberries. Lift of mint. A dollop of simple nicely aged fruits. This is a joy to drink and at the age was quite fresh and young to drink still.

My WOTN even though it was off theme. On first blow, this was beautiful stewed ripe warm vintage burg cherries and strawberries with a robust floral bouquet. Sappy and dense with milky texuturals.I liked it for its sense of balance but with strength too. If a burg, this could be an 03 being so nicely ripened and open for business. This is like the iron fist in the velvet glove except this is a CDP! with more animalistic undertones goin on. Thoroughly enjoyable and delicious although still quite adolescent drinking wine. I just kept going back to it and appreciating its forceful composure in the glass.
I wished I was more sober to taste this but from my indulgent stupor, I thought this was a very good dessert wine. Rich honeyed ripe dried and fresh apricot frutis , ripe golden sultanas and rich pineapples. This has all the rich well balanced sweetness one can imagine to want from a dessert wine. Full and lasting . This is definitely a steal for the price.

I wished I was more sober to taste this but from my indulgent stupor, I thought this was a very good dessert wine.
