Introduction

Spiaggia back on form for this dinner as the food and service were stellar. For some reason, I didn't jot formal notes on the wines, so my brief thoughts on these are from memory.

Decent but workaday champagne.

Flight 2 - Cappesante dorate con pagliolaia e funghi (1 Note)

1995 Louis Jadot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle Domaine du Duc de Magenta 90 Points

Holding up reasonably well.

Flight 4 - Angello in tre maniere con crema di cavolfiore, olive e zafferano (1 Note)

1996 Azienda Bricco Rocche (Ceretto) Barolo Prapò 92 Points

Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo

Surprisingly good round mature Barolo. Plenty of life left here but drinking today.

Interesting wine to taste. A tough match with the Panna.
