Casual Monday Night Burgundy and Pizza Tasting Dinner

This was a fun, budget-minded winetasting dinner (meaning that we bypassed the cost of a restaurant dinner, for a change, by bringing our own take-out food). It was a free for all in terms of what to bring, but knowing that a couple of the participants are extremely focused on Burgundy, most of us decided to bring white or red Burgs, and a few of us brought Groffier (knowing that's a favorite of Jayaram). The WOTN was the '96 Groffier Les Amoureuses, very closely followed the the '98 version of the same wine. Also delicious were the '98 Groffier Les Hauts-Doix, the '01 Kistler Pinot Cuvee Catherine (probably the best Kistler Pinot I've ever had), and the '97 Fuligni Brunello. The '97 Kathryn Kennedy Cab was very disappointing, and neither of our sweet wines really rocked my world either. Definitely a fun and relaxing gathering though. Thanks to Suzanne for arranging the space, and David and Mark for organizing us and our food.
