Pale yellow color. Apple nose with some floral and limestone notes. Tastes of melon, apple, lemon and lime. Good freshness and acidity. Well balanced. Elegant finish with some depth of fruit. 14% alcohol. My first contribution of the evening.
Cloudy fluorescent yellow color. Oaky tropical fruit nose. Taste of lemon and apple. Loads of toasted oak on the palate and mid palate. Full bodied. Alcoholic finish. Very heavy handed and tiring to drink. Respectfully unrated. 15.8% alcohol. My initial guess was a domestic Chardonnay. Wow, that says everything about this wine. Brought by Jeff.
Cloudy yellow color. Perfumed tropical fruit aromatics. Now is where the wine really went downhill. Tastes of apples. Seems like the wine is unstable. Lots of sulfur. Possible secondary fermentation? Any how something is just not right with this wine. No rating given. 14.1% alcohol. Guessed domestic Chardonnay. Hey, at least I was right this time. Brought by Rick.
From 500ml. Golden yellow color. Aromas of apples and lemons. Tastes of melon, orange and tangerine. Very well balanced. Good freshness. Long complex finish. Strange I couldn't guess the varietal after having a Curran Grenache Blanc at the same tasting. Nonetheless a wine to seek out and buy. 13.3% alcohol. Brought by Scott.
