Dennis hosted a rare Wineflock burgundy tasting with about eight tasters. Though the stated theme was Premier Cru Cote de Beaune wines from any vintage that should be drinking well, a couple guys got a bit confused about the geography of Burgundy so we ended up with an unexpected Clos Vougeot (neither Beaune NOR 1er!) and a Gervrey. And as a shock to no one, they turned out to be high scoring wines (at least for me). Anyway, a surprisingly nice tasting with some of the expected lows but some unexpected highs too.
All wines served double blind as usual.
