  • 2006 Jarvis (California) Winery Chardonnay Reserve 93 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

More restrained and subtle nose than the 07 Estate. Minerally, green pears. Long acidic draw finish is very fine.

  • 2003 Jarvis (California) Winery Cabernet Franc 92 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

Great nose of violets, blackcurrant, cacao, clove and spice box, hint of green vegetable and eucalyptus, and maple. Light medium body. Sits on a very fine tannins frame. Great cab franc.

  • 2002 Jarvis (California) Winery Lake William 93 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

Gorgeous, elegant nose. Black cherry, cedar, sweet spice, soft leathery undertones. In the mouth this was as silky as a fine pinot noir. Resolved tannins. Not especially intense, but super elegant and long finish. WOTF

  • 2001 Jarvis (California) Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 91 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

Black raspberry, espresso, bell pepper, toffee, oak. This is still tight grained and a bit austere on the palate, though big and dark character. Would benefit from more air time than it got at the tasting or would cellar several more years. Nevertheless, I quite liked it and preferred it over the more approachable 2002. 90-92

  • 2002 Jarvis (California) Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 90 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

Red and black fruit, some with dried character, tobacco leaf, black walnut hulls. This is a bit more fruit forward and immediately approachable than the 2001, but I didn't think had quite the overall interest. 90-91
