Feel better. Lots of different bugs going around this year.

The TBD Thanksgiving wine was a 2020 Sassacia which was on the wine list for $195. Clearly a misprice in our favor.

We are in Seattle visiting our son and his wife and playing with our four month old grandson. Much to be thankful about!

Our turkey was in fact a Peking Duck, delicious. With it we opened a 1990 Chateau Branaire (St Julien), in perfect condition and a great match to the meal. A birth-year wine for Daniel and Allison…

Belated check-in, but we had a traditional turkey with all the fixins, minus cranberry sauce, which no one seemed to notice. We started and ended with bubbles (NV Vilmart & Cie Champagne Premier Cru Cuvée Rubis) which got the party started and was a nice after dinner palate cleanser. With dinner, I opened a 2015 Maison Harbour Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Combe au Moine, which paired really well with the meal.

So many things to be thankful, but I'll call out my kids. Every day, they do something, at some point, that reminds me how amazing they are.
