Hahaha...nice memory! And I have pictures to prove it!

(well done with the two whites)
The Marlborough was a 2009 Nautilus;
The Hermitage was from M. Chapoutier
The '94 Cali was an especially good Chimney Rock Elevage;
The RWT was a 2000;
The Neal was a 2005 cabernet;
Then we had a 1996 Louis Jador Chambertin;
Then the '97 Leoville;
Followed by the Port;
Then a '98 Colheita Douro;
And finally a 2004 Marques de Caceres

Looking forward to the sequel...

You have done CT proud

The 4 of us can't claim sole consumption, there was a few others who had a glass or two! It was a goodnight and good to meet two more CT'ers.

Now where's the caffeine?

First up, thanks Paul and Mark for introducing me to the crowd at crown... a real pleasure to meet you two and Mike and some really fantastic wines consumed too.

Second, I just want to say that Mike and I definitely channelled the spirit of Toby and PJ ... We went for a cheeky post-dinner nightcap and at about 2am Mike bought the first shot. We picked up a random American and a Swiss/German guy who got pretty tired of me shouting "woh ist de bahnhof" at him in-between jagerbombs. Not really sure how I got home but I did, thankfully.

I've just opened a nice PN to stave off the hangover :)

Edit:

in terms of the wine, for me the stand out was the RWT which had an immense finish and was just so rich and expressive. The hermitage was stunning with a big anise nose and tons of violet coming through. From left field, the Ernest and Julio Chardonnay was dead interesting - full of tropical fruit and a lovely buttery finish. fab

Hats off to both of you for continuing into the night. It would have been a shocker of a day if I'd had anymore or stayed out any later.

Forgot the Chambertin Grand Cru! I think the Cali and the RWT probably stood out the most. The Hermitage had an element of class about it, not showy just confident, liked both whites and the port was drinking lovely.

Back there tomorrow for a Champagne growers dinner.....

And now need to set a date for Christmas drinks - Friday before Christmas?
