OK, tonight at 10pm Pacific time I am going to take the site offline for about 60 minutes (hopefully a little less actually) to deploy what I hope will be some enormously helpful site performance changes. As always, if you need access to your data now would be a good time to fire up this tool: http://www.cellartracker.com/ow.asp?ExcelDownload

BTW, last Friday and Saturday we did some lower-level hardware and software infrastructure changes, also for performance. After nearly a week of watching both the surface and behind the scenes results, those changes were clearly a very big success.

OK, so after some last minute testing last Thursday I decided to hold off on this maintenance. However NOW I am ready to go, so tonight at 9PM Pacific time I will take the site offline to do some database maintenance. I am hoping these changes will take less than 60 minutes, but you should expect up to 2 hours of outage.

OK, the site was down for 57 minutes. I am still working on some things in the background, but we should be back up for the duration.
