So there is a couple different CT offlines going on this weekend- OC Poker 4 Wine X, Wisc Offline and CTer's in WA.

Which event would you like to attend? No voting for your own event... sorry Wisc, I'm voting WA as I'm on a WA wine kick lately.

Or this could be where will the most wine be consumed at? Maybe another poll???

I am torn - I have already been to an OC poker event and took 2nd place behind Brig in Poker.  Had a blast and will be back.

The Wisky event is pouring a Mag of Dacalier, so I would love to be there for that.

WA wines have always alluded me and it is such a beautiful time of year....Which should I choose?

I went with WA.

Since I can't vote for the event I'm actually attending (OC), I'll go with WA, as I've been digging their grape juice of late.

It's "not bad."

I'm a little disappointed in the lack of Southern CA wine votes!  There is never a shortage or good wine, food and company.

And I'm bummed that the only event I ever missed was the one Dave made.  However, I did get to meet John Cabot and his amazing wines.

Depends.  Do you want to meet fewer CTers with a singular focus in wine and be in bed by ten?  Then don't come to Wisconsin.  ;-)

Want to visit 42 wineries/vineyards, meet the winemakers and growers and learn what makes them tick, hike through the vineyards in the New World's cutting frontier, taste well over 200 wines made from over 40 varietals, eat homemade vittles in the cozy (almost Southern) comfort of homes and guest houses? Then do come to Washington.

I like poker and cheese too. If I weren't here, I wish I could be at either of the other places this weekend. To steal from one of the Texans...

Cheers to all y'all!

Wisconsin is lovely, we have clients there so we're up there 4 times a year. I will say it's much nicer in the spring, summer and fall than in the winter. No more traveling to WI without the SUV in the winter!

Poker in CA? Not for me - I don't have a poker face.
Wine in CA - yes, please. We're talking about a trip to Napa next year, yippee!

I've not been to Washington, but it's somewhere I'd like to go at some point.

Wasn't sure what to expect but the sheer beauty of the landscape of Washington's wine country is breathtaking... I have never hiked a mile straight up a hill to arrive at a vineyard and tasting room! Sorry for sounding off since I am an interested party to the vote, but these Washington wines are fabulous! And the people make you feel welcome.

We were going to finish our leftovers this morning with our eggs but we didn't have any.  Finished them at 1:30 this morning with the cigars.  So we opened some fresh bottles with our eggs.  Krug and Salon anybody?  ;-)

Well, WA is my backyard, and while I have a lot of areas around Red Mountain yet to explore, it's really making my mind up to spend the weekend doing this. Though am sad to not be able to greet those in from out of state...

I've met most of the core OC/LA crowd, and I look forward to the date in the future to come kick some @ss at the table, probably not going to happen for a while.

I'm voting for WI as I really haven't met a lot of the Mid-west crowd, they are drinking some serious juice, and I wouldn't have to take notes because WIML is there...

One vote for the WA crowd.   Never have made my way out to the wineries there and from the descriptions shared by others it sounds great.   Catching my breath and getting ready for round II here in Madison.   Great event thanks to the folks who have shown up and even more so Mr and Mrs Petitblancs incredible organization.

It is hard to match the crowd gathered in Wisconsin from a drinker's point of view. So many exceptional bottles will be opened this weekend. Not to say that the other crowds drink poorly but it is hard to top what gets shared by this group.

Um, I just flew 2400 miles west, then rented a car to drive 240 miles east. Where the hell am I? Why the hell am I a designated driver? Why am I having a discussion about Guernica, Giverney, and l'Orangerie and there's not a single museum director in the room? Why do grits pair so well with Counoise?
