We use a Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) for Weekly Waivers.

I've never played FF anywhere, so I'm at a loss as to how to play. Any instructions available? Would this be college or NFL?

In again!!

This is the NFL, I am a football fan but had never played FF until I tried this one. Pretty easy way to start.

It is based on Yahoo Fantasy Football, instructions are on that site. I did two mock drafts to figure out how that part worked my first year.

Hi jcosindc: As skifree mentioned, this is an NFL Fantasy League. The specifics of the rules can be found once you join the league, but here's a link to get you started.

As a Team Manager, you will draft a team (online and can be fully automated if you wish). Each week, you decide which of your team players will start that week. Scoring is done automatically. Each weeks, we have add/drop, where you can drop players you no longer want and pick up new available players. The add/drop is the only thing that's a tiny bit complicated, but easy to pick up. We use a Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) for Weekly Waivers (add/drop)

FAAB involves bidding for players. At the beginning of the season, each team manager gets a budget of $100 (not real money). Each week, you can bid on players that you want....bidding as much or as little as you think a player is worth. Even bidding nothing works a lot .

btw....this being a wine league, we play for wine. Before the season starts, each Team manager (you) declares what wine they will offer. It should be worth at least $60 or more. After the season is over, you ship your wine to one of the winners that shose you bottle. This is one of the least expensive leagues out there, but we have good people and it's a lot of fun.

Thanks to both skifree and Blue Shorts for the info. I've taken a quick look at the link for Yahoo. Based on what I can determine, it appears that this will take up quite a bit of time which, unfortunately, I do not have a lot of being primary caregiver for my mother (100%) and father (35%). I'll have to bow out for this year. I'll keep in mind for next year should my situation change.
