Eric,
I have spelled the name of a store where I have bought some wine recently.  The correct name is Fine Wine Connection, not Fine Wine Conncection.   When I try to edit inventory, I am not able to change the associated purchase to correct the mistake, I can only clear the field.  How do I correct this.  I noticed this when looking a the St Innocent Shea Pinot 2006.
Thank you,
Eric K

It's pretty easy.
1) Click REPORTS at the top of the screen: http://www.cellartracker.com/reports.asp
2) Click PURCHASES BY STORE near the upper right: http://www.cellartracker.com/list.asp?table=PurchaseStore
3) Click on the hyperlink for the misspelled store: http://www.cellartracker.com/list.asp?table=Purchase&Store=Fine+Wine+Conncection
4) SHIFT-CLICK on the wine glass icon to the left of each purchase.
5) Edit the name of the store in the purchase screen and press the button to submit this.

Since it only took about 10 seconds, I went ahead and fixed the 4 purchases for you.

Eric,
Thank you very much.  Now I just have to decide if I can live with the incorrect labels or will print new ones.
Thank you,
Eric K

Hi Eric,

I tried this but could not locate the purchase screen. Do you have a screenshot to share?

Thanks and kind regards

Ricardo

In our desktop website (which is what you are using), click PURCHASED in the side panel on the right for a wine. Then click the EDIT button next to a purchase. Edit all of the purchases of that store.

Hi, Eric,

Thanks, but it did not work yet...

It is a simple change from "madame do vinho" to Madame do Vinho".

I have tried an alternative, too. I substituted it by another store, refreshed the browser, and then typed the store as above, but it did not work either...

Any other suggestion?

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience

Kind regards

Ricardo

If a string already exists, we do not automatically replace it if a new producer only differs by capitalization or accent marks. In this case, an admin needs to change the string for everyone in the database which I have done in this case.
