Hi all and a special thanks to Eric LeVine for Cellartracker! I've been using Cellartracker for some time and found it extremely useful. I like German riesling and have almost 200 bottles from different producers and of different vintages. Here I would find wine properties very handy. Everybody who likes German rieslings knows that the "thing" about them is the balance between acidity and residual sugar. Even for single-vinyard wines, the balance can differ dramatically from year to year. Even for neighboring producers making similar-style wines from the same vineyard, acidity and sugar levels differ. So what I'm proposing is two extra fields in Cellartracker for wines: acidity (grams per liter) and residual sugar (grams per liter). This would help selecting wines from your cellar after you've forgotten what sugar-acidity balance they've got. A third field would be awards given to the wine. Especially in Rheinland-Palatine, the Kammerpreismünze award is a very strong indicator of excellent wine. It would be nice to see how the wine has done even if it were'nt reviewed by Jancis Robinson or Robert Parker. Has anybody has any similar thoughts? I'd be glad to hear your comments and ideas!
