How do you print just a single bin label rather than printing all of them? Is this possible? Thanks

The site UI doesn't let you do it. You can however download http://www.cellartracker.com/barcode.exe and expand that to c:\Program Files\CellarTracker. Then open the BIN.LWT file in the Dymo editor and change the sample text to B_Foo where "Foo" is the name of your bin.

Do you have to make the Cellar Tracker directory?  Also is that Program files x86 in Windows 7?

Thanks...

The local templates are optional, not necessary and have nothing to do with your issues. And down the line if you do resolve your 64-bit issues and do for some reason want local install of templates (so you can muck with the fonts--there is no other reason really) well you still need to put them in C:\PROGRAM FILES\CELLARTRACKER

Hello Eric,

is this method still the only way to print a single label for a new bin? Not sure, what I need to do on a MAC to print a single label with the definition file.

If it is not possible to single print a location label from CT, please consider this post as an enhancement request :-)

Idea here: Add an option to only print location labels, which have not yet been printed (like for the wines) - would help.

Ciao
Peter

Open the label template in the Dymo software type in B_Bin where Bin is the name of your bin. Print. This tells you where to get the template files:

Hello Eric,

looks like, that I can't open the template in the MAC Dymo Software - Dymo expect the file to have the extension ".label". Tried to rename it, but then Dymo complains about a wrong format.

Cheers Peter

Really, please read this as I requested: https://www.cellartracker.com/content.asp?iContent=27

It tells you that you can find this: http://www.cellartracker.com/dymo/bin.label

Save the file. It is a .label file. Open it. Tweak the text. Do NOT lose the B_ or L_ precursor. Print.

YOu can do it manually exactly as described above. The aforementioned EXE was deprecated about 5 years ago. The templates are all XML files now.

Thanks Eric. (and apologies for the duplicated question.... I now realise you had actually answered most of my question above.)

I have now
1) downloaded the .label definitions to my iMac from http://www.cellartracker.com/dymo/ (specifically bin.label)
2) opened the .label file in the DYMO MAC label application, and
3) successfully printed a manual "bin" (box) label by hand editing the label in the app and leaving the B_ / L_

Fast response, helpful info. Thanks from a new (and learning) user.
