I currently have approximately 18 cases stored in an offsite cellar. Storage is mostly in wooden wine boxes stacked to near the ceiling.

Trying to get wine from the lower boxes entails removing all boxes above. A few years ago I saw a similar cellar with supports to place the boxes with easy pull access for every box.

Does anyone have any such schematic from which I might get a start?

Have you looked into these? https://www.kogodwine.com/pages/weinbox

Thanks,

These appear to have the only opening at the end. If they opened on the side they would be perfect.

Hi Cigar,

I have used wire racks purchased from a restaurant supply store. They may not stack as high as you need, but the support posts can be up to six feet. They also sell wire wine racks, which are a bit more expensive in terms of per bottle costs compared to putting cases onto shelves.

Web store

Note: No affiliation with shop. Used their products and liked them.

Happy New Year,
John

I bought some Wienboxes for over flow and will buy more for the new cellar space. The bakers wire racks are terrific. I got a couple used for the garage, need to get a few more and like that they can have wheels for moving around. I may use them for the Wienboxes and use the single bottle racking for individual and smaller amounts of bottles.

Those seem like a great idea. Might look into getting a few.

Thanks

FYI, I just started using the Weinboxes and can vouch for them. They handle all bottle types brilliantly and Kogod Wine were great to do business with.
