The teens are coming to an end. What's been your best since 2010?

excluding the 3 wines I posted in the 2019 WOTY:

#1 - 2005 Radford Dale Gravity 96pt Feb '16 ( a major surprise from South Africa)

I scored all of these 95pt at the time of tasting:

2006 Dom Pérignon Jul '18
2016 Roses de Jeanne / Cédric Bouchard Blanc de Noirs Côte de Val Vilaine Oct '18
2005 Klein Constantia Vin de Constance Feb '16
2000 Zind-Humbrecht Gewurztraminer Goldert Vendange Tardive Jan '17
2001 Tokaj Hétszőlő Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos May '17
2015 Captûre Wines Sauvignon Blanc Les Pionniers Oct '17
2011 McPrice Myers Lil Man Jan '16
2004 Saxon-Brown Zinfandel Casa Santinamaria Vineyards Dec '12
2002 Basel Cellars The Alchemist Jul '12
2003 Yalumba Shiraz Vinnovation Collection Barossa Valley Aug '10
2006 Yalumba Shiraz Vinnovation Collection Barossa Valley Apr '15
2002 Viña Alicia Cabernet Sauvignon Sep '12
1998 Villagiachi Bartolomeo Toscana IGT Aug '12
1999 Villagiachi Bartolomeo Toscana IGT Feb '12
2007 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (the most controversial. I've ranged from 89-95 on this over 5 bottles consumed)

Uh.....Bob? Technically, we have one more year in this decade. There was no year 0, so decades run from 01 - 10, 11 - 20, 21 - 30, etc.

However, in the spirit of the thread, I can certainly say that 2002 Lokoya Diamond Mountain is still the best wine I've ever tasted. If I were a CT member then (late 2010) I would have scored it a 99. It's not the most expensive I've had, but certainly the most enjoyable.

Second best, at a 98+, was my Burgundy epiphany at Bern's: 1993 Ponsot Clos de la Roche.

Then comes 1966 Weise & Krohn's Colheita Port and 2001 Arrowood Reserve Speciale Cabernet Sauvignon.

Forget the spirit, I want the facts!

The 2020s (pronounced "twenty-twenties" or "two thousand (and) twenties", shortened to "the '20s") is the upcoming decade in the Gregorian calendar that will begin on 1 January 2020, and will end on 31 December 2029. wikipedia

Well, Wikipedia "facts" are about as reliable as Italian cars.

I only started drinking seriously around 2007. So this decade - 2010 to 2019 - was a terrific one for wine. 95% of these were drank with fellow forumites and friends who also probably supplied them. As I have said in the past, the company, conversations, and memories always surpassed the quality of wines.

It would be hard to narrow a list to the 10 best of the best. I'll have to think about it.

CA Cab

1991 Ridge Monte Bello
1987 Dunn Howell Mountain

I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Our greatest bottles are saved for occasion, sometimes an offline, sometimes a cellar visit, sometimes a life event. The generosity of old friends, new CT friends, and winemakers has made this collection possible.
Here are ones which really stood out for me (in no particular order, each at a different occasion).

1996 Salon for breakfast at Chez drycab
1978 DRC Echezeaux on our anniversary at ‘The Restaurant Which Must Not Be Named’
1985 Chave Hermitage at a different anniversary at ‘The Restaurant Which Must Not Be Named’
1985 Dujac Clos de Vougeot in their cave (another anniversary)
1996 DRC La Tâche at Chas Offlineorama II (thank you mclancy)
2010 Raveneau Les Clos from barrel
1890 Puig Parahÿ Rivesaltes Rancio while leaning on another barrel of the same, waiting to be bottled
1999 Screaming Eagle (also thank you drycab)
2000 La Mission Haut-Brion (thank you S2)
several 1990 Château Latour (thank you Jack)
1996 Château d’Yquem (thank you mc2)
2015 MACDONALD in the farmhouse
2009 Corra from barrel with winemaker, then 2005 while cooking for her that night (#stressful)
The dueling ’98 Roumier and ’01 Fourrier bottles at Chas Offlineorama V haunt me

I follow the authority of Arthur C. Clarke regarding the "decade issue".

He called it "2001" for a reason: the beginning of the 21st Century.

Finally! A list that contains something that I have.

(Albeit that I bought the 1992 Musar blanc entirely on the basis of Forceberry's TN, so I hope I like it! )

I'm quite positive that as long as the wine is in sound condition, it should be phenomenal!

It's a whole another story altogether if you don't like the style. :D Although it's such a great wine that I'd be baffled if somebody didn't find it exceptional!

It came direct from Musar's warehouse in London, so I'm fine with that. My only problem now is working out what to pair it with.

For me the 1983 E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Landonne was the top.

There are many many on the list of contenders beyond the ones below, but these are definitely in the running.

1944 Château Haut-Brion
1980 R. López de Heredia Rioja Gran Reserva Viña Tondonia
1982 Penfolds Grange
1986 Château Coutet Cuvée Madame
1996 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche
2009 Next of Kyn Syrah No~3 Cumulus Vineyard
2012 MTR Productions Syrah Memory Found

If we are going 2010-2019 there can be only one.

1955 Taylor Vintage Port - an utterly profound wine experience
