I've just realised that there are HUGE numbers of label pics in the database which don't seem to be attributed to specific wines...

This was triggered by looking at the wines of Château Côte Montpezat. Only 4 wines are listed, and the total number of attributed label images (looking at each of the 4 wines) is 48.

But for the Chateau as a whole there are 257 images, each of which seems to have a specific wine attribution, but clearly 209 of them don't feature when clicking on the wine labels for specific wines! Many of these have "(capture)" after the attribution.

And now that I look at other producers I find exactly the same thing...

Could you explain a bit what is going on here?

Image captures don't default show up on the individual wine pages. They are showing up under the producer page.

Sorry - what is an "image capture"?

EDIT - Oh, I guess you mean when people are doing label searches, so those pictures are attributed by Vivino. That explains a lot.

This is fixed.

You now only see your own image captures (aka "Label Searches") together with all uploaded label images.
