SO, maybe it is something extremely simple, but it meant a lot to us. Our daughter is finally working after finding a job that she felt it is what she was looking for. This is her first formal job as she graduated a few months ago from college. Her first payday was yesterday and today we went with her to have a gyro, a beer , and some salad. When I asked for the check she told me if she could see it and of course I said yes and give it to her. A minute went by and I asked for the check so I could pay . At that time she said to us that she was paying, that she wanted to use that first money she earned that way.

Of course there are no words to describe what I felt and continue to feel after many hours went by......

Funny but when it happened with us and our oldest daughter it was also a great day! Good work dad.

Congrats. It must be wonderful to get confirmation that you did a good job raising your child.....and that they are showing their appreciation.

Very nice Eduardo. Somewhat reminds me of so many years ago with my (now) wife. It was our second date and after the meal she insisted on picking up the check. It really was nice and a new experience for this somewhat old fashioned guy.

Oh, and yes, that was the last check she's picked up since!

Very nice Eduardo! Well done!

Our daughters, youngest just hit 40, are still on their mom's phone plan, and only occasionally pay their part of the bill.
But really ours are both independent, appreciative, and generous as well.

Next time order the filet!

Eduardo, that's a fine milestone moment to hold onto and cherish. Cheers to that!

Amen brother. I have 10, 8 and 2 year olds, and can imagine the satisfaction you have after many years. Just to have your child grow up to be a happy, healthy and responsible adult, is all you can hope for.
