When I buy multiple bottles of the same wine and I enter them as new wine on Cellar Tracker, each with a different location in my wine racks, I have to edit each bottle to get a different location for the next five wines. Is there a way to enter multiple locations for all six at the same time when entering new wines?

when adding the wine under the bin field, there is a link to enable "single bin entry". It will create a unique bin field for the quantity of bottles.

If I understand you correctly, you want to enter them as - let's say A-1, A-2 etc?

On the page you 'loctate' your wines, there are 2 tabs - one says 'Bulk Edit', the other says 'Individual Wine Edit'

Click on the individual wine edit. You'll see a small button that says 'Single Bin Entry', click that and then you'll be able to place each bottle in it's location.

I think that's what you're looking for.

Please note this thread though: https://www.cellartracker.com/forum/tm.asp?m=243326

For the moment the BIN is very flexible, but LOCATION is as described. Annoying.

Dan and I are well aware and are working on something. It's a bit more involved, so please give us a week or two.

OK, this has all been sorted out. Now both Location and Bin are freely editable fields. You can click to see a dropdown right away (with bin now hierarchically tied to location) or just start typing and get a completion. It's dramatically more flexible than before.
